Escape to Brooklinn Mill, a converted jute mill tucked away in a wooded corner of Perthshire. Quiet and secluded with stunning views over the River Ericht and Lornty Burn, it’s only 1 mile from Blairgowrie’s shops, cafes, restaurants and other amenities.
Once a working jute mill, this unique 19th century property has been lovingly converted into three charming homes – two of which, the Loft and the Jute Store – both in the former store building, offer luxury self-catering holiday accommodation all year round. The other building is our family home.
Supreme comfort. Generous space. Period charm. Spectacular views.
The Jute Store is a luxury holiday home that’s easy to fall in love with and hard to leave.
Unwind in the well-stocked library with a book and river views. Enjoy summery al fresco breakfasts with the family on the balcony or watch the river tumble and roar with a hot chocolate in winter.
The Loft is a cosy, romantic retreat for two in Perthshire.
Only a short stroll from fine dining in Blairgowrie and surrounded by beautiful nature walks, its the perfect hideaway to escape it all.
The Loft sleeps 2 people in the roof space of the former store building – the rest of the building is the separate, self-contained Jute Store.
The whole apartment is light, bright and cosy and offers spectacular views across the Lornty Burn and mill weir, and to the River Ericht. The extra height means the Loft also enjoys views of the tree tops surrounding Brooklinn Mill, and the hills beyond. In all it feels a little bit like being in a very special tree-house.
Blairgowrie, ‘The Berry Toon’, is a fantastic location for your Scottish holiday.
Blairgowrie is a hidden gem nestled with the Angus Glens, within easy driving distance of the Cairngorm National Park and the Angus coast all easily accessible. Glenshee is less than an hour away by car for winter skiing during the winter and there are spectacular walks and cycle routes all year round.
Explore castles, visit the V&A Museum in nearby Dundee, kayak down the Ericht or practise your swing at one of the area’s many local golf courses. Blairgowrie’s central location is perfect for getting to see the Scotland’s highlights. Dundee, Perth and Stirling are all easily accessible, and Edinburgh and Glasgow both about 1.5 hours away by car.
From the Loft or the Jute Store it’s an easy 1 mile walk into Blairgowrie for shopping or eating out. Just follow the riverside path (also part of the Cateran Trail) which passes right by the door. Don’t forget to explore all the little detours along the river and discover Cargill’s Leap and historic Rattray over the foot bridge.
